40th anniversary photos - (part 1) around the campsite
I should point out first of all, that the camera I used to take
all the pictures during this event appears to have a crooked lens, as many of
the pictures came out with the sides cut off, such as the two at the bottom
of this page. Note also that if some of the pictures do not appear properly
and have a red cross after downloading, try right-clicking them and selecting
'Show Picture' (Internet Explorer) as there is sometimes a bug which can prevent
display of multiple pictures on a page.
Anyway, that's my car below on the right, yes that's what it looked like,
as I was still in the middle of repainting it. You can also see my 'moist
tent' to the right, which I shall say no more about. Accompanying me in this
shot is a white R4 Savane.

Not all the photos I took are as bizarre as these next few, in
fact the majority of those I photographed at the Openlucht Museum are quite
standard as you'll see later on. This is a rare Renault 4 Rodeo, one of two
I captured at the event. The 'Renault 4 Open' site (see my links page) has more
info on this model. Okay, it looks almost nothing like a regular R4 but it's
quite unique.

This monster was also parked in the same field as me, quite what's
going on here I don't know, perhaps the owner would like to enlighten us. The
most puzzling thing about this one, and which had visitors pondering over all
weekend, was how you get into it, as there appeared to be no door handles on
the car.
