40th anniversary photos - (part 10) R4 van heaven
Some more photos from the centre of the museum grounds, where
all the vans were gathered.

These F6 models below have the more modern squared back.

I'm not sure if this is a homemade conversion, or whether it might
possibly be the only R4 pickup seen on this site so far. I've never seen one
myself and there weren't any others at the event, which is odd because they
were produced in reasonable numbers alongside the vans for some years. The exhibition
at the museum had some advertisements featuring the pickup, but it seems very
few have survived. Perhaps the rain getting in the back has rotted them all
away, or maybe the people who owned them never had quite the same affection
for them as R4 owners have for the car versions, and so disposed of them without
second thought. Anyone with any further info send it here. I could be completely
wrong and this may not be a pickup at all.

A rather nice red and green model, anybody
know what is printed on the bonnet?

Many of the Renault 4's at the event sported the logo of the Dutch
R4 Club, as can be seen below.
