40th anniversary photos - (part 17) Ruud Wind goes jogging at a rodeo?
Right, I'd better explain. This 2-door cabriolet belongs to Ruud
Wind, who designed and constructed it. He runs the Renault 4 Garage in the Netherlands
(see the links page) and you can find further photos in the peoples pics section
of this site.
Here's the first of two 'Jogging' special edition models that
were on show. They were launched in the early 1980's in an attempt by Renault,
presumably, to be up to date with the latest trends and fashions. They feature
blue bumpers, side panels, canvass sunroof and front handles, and both of the
cars there had been preserved in excellent condition.
Another offshoot of the R4 was this Rodeo model. This was one
of 2 that attended - you can see pictures of the other one in part 1 of this
section.
And here's a classic 60's model to finish off. Some of the best
pictures from the line-up are still to come.
