40th anniversary photos - (part 25) going on safari.......in the Netherlands
Saving the best till last, well actually there's a lot more photos
from the car park outside yet to come, but this beautiful Safari model was the
last one I saw inside the museum. This special edition of the R4 was manufactured
around the mid 1970's, and like the later Jogging model, is now highly desirable.
There were 2 Safari editions of the same colour that attended the event - you
can see the other one pictured by the windmill during the Saturday tour earlier
on in this section.
As you can see the interior was quite stunning, with starkly different
seat styling. The seats themselves were much thinner than the standard type,
but had a luxurious padded base. Of all the R4's I have seen I think this has
become my favourite, and I'm very jealous of the owner!
