The three models parked around the corner were all fine examples of three eras in the Renault 4's history. On the right sits Mark and Aerial's 1967 classic, with the very rare, small original front grille. One of their first outings in this car, after they purchased it, was to the Renault Owners Club 50th Anniversary meeting at Beaulieu in 2002, pictures of which are in the 'your articles' section, with another snap from when it was parked outside my sister's old house in Hove cropping up in the people's pics page of the gallery (number PP148). It has a bakelite steering wheel and an 850cc engine. The car has its foibles as a result of previous owners fixing it up in their own personal way, and part of Mark's task in owning the vehicle has been to find original parts and rebuild it as it should be. There are some areas needing attention but the car is still going strong. Behind sits a rather resplendent TL from the early '70s, with its horizontal bar grille. Another gleaming GTL sits at the back, in an unusual shade of metallic silver-grey with a hint of green! Perhaps it was just the light, but I couldn't determine the exact colour. Another photo follows where you can decide for yourself.
