Next up are two of the Renault 4's wide variety of special models. The open top Plein Air edition is very rare, in fact the right-hand drive version is virtually non-existent today. These sporty vehicles were produced for just three years in the 1960s, and are highly prized amongst enthusiasts, although many other open top custom R4s have been manufactured in small-scale productions over the years. On the right is perhaps the least rare of all the alternate R4 guises: the van. Even these are quite infrequently encountered now in Britain, in particular the F6 models, which you don't hear much about as the F4s were perhaps more popular.
