40th anniversary - Arnhem 2001: photos part 24: six fours and one six
Nearly at the end of the main line-up, but the start of a new film and there's still quite a few pictures to come. This first one follows on from the last page.
This page comprises six more Renault 4s, and one more of these Renault 6s. The Six was possibly even more rare and shared many common features with the R4, such as the chassis. They are nice cars in their own right, though aesthetically I personally don't see them in quite the same class. Of all the classic cars in existence, I feel that only the Citroën 2CV comes close to possessing a similar charm to the Renault 4, but the R4 is less recognised and therefore more unique, despite being one of the biggest selling cars of all time.
Here's another picture of the R4 Savane which was parked next to me at the campsite (see part 1 of these entries).
This JP4 is the same one as seen in part 3 during the visit to Doesburg.
Brown might be regarded as unfashionable, but I rather like it, and R4s of this colour are quite scarce.
This model can also be seen in part 2 at the campsite.
