50th anniversary - Nürburgring 2011: photo set 1 number 19

This rather late GTL edition (assumed from the paint colour which was prevalent only in the final years of production) was one of a few sporting the 'Salü' motif and decals. I never got to speak to any of the owners, and so my best guess is that, like the German Jogging variant, this was a copy of the French 'Bye Bye' edition when manufacturing finished in the early 1990s. Perhaps somebody can confirm or deny this for me. I read a remark on one of them suggesting there was a limited edition of 500.

Update 2011-08-08: I retrieved some information at the 3rd 4L International event at Thenay in July confirming my above suspicions, although the models were produced in 1988.
