I have created various Renault 4 files for you to download. Return here monthly to update the desktop calendar, customize your computer with my desktop theme, or use my R4 screen saver to fill your screen with images of your favourite car during all those empty moments, available with specially created add-on images.

PLEASE READ THE FOUR FILES FAQ BEFORE INSTALLING THIS PROGRAM. The original screen saver, containing a collection of images from Renault 4-Play, strung together with some snazzy page transitions. There are options to change the speed and frequency at which the images change, and you can add your own bitmap pictures by dropping them in the designated folder. It comes as a self-extracting .exe file, which just fits on a standard 1.44mb floppy disk. Extra images available below. |
| R4ss2000.exe for use with R4ssaver.exe 1.80mb | This screen saver add-on pack contains 15 of the best images from this site in the year 2000, custom formatted to blend perfectly with the original program. Simply extract these files into the same directory as the original screen saver images. Works with any version of R4ssaver. |
| R4ss2001.exe for use with R4ssaver.exe 1.96mb | The standard of photos sent in during 2001 was exceptional, and it was a tough job singling out just 15 for this year's add-on pack. Download these to enhance your existing copy of the screen saver. |
| R4ss40.exe for use with R4ssaver.exe 3.32mb | A special bumper add-on pack filled with 25 pictures from the R4 40th anniversary events during 2001. Install this self-extracting zip file in the same directory as your existing screen saver pictures. |
 | R4theme.zip version 1.1a (released 26/4/03) - see the FAQ for info 1.52mb | This collection of files is designed to brighten up your desktop with images, sounds, cursors, icons and a mini screen saver. Just unzip this file anywhere on your hard drive, being sure to check the option 'Use Folder Names' or any similar setting to keep the original folder structure intact, then see the enclosed readme file. |
| favicon.ico | If you use IE5 or higher, or later versions of some other browsers, you may have bookmarked sites before that leave a customized icon in your favorites menu, and sometimes other places on your system. But they don't remain for very long, because when they are deleted from the cache the bookmark reverts to the standard IE icon, unless you delete and re-bookmark the site. However, if you save the icon to your hard drive, it should remain visible for evermore. Instructions are on the left. |
