I took another trip down to the beach at Shoreham Harbour with my parents' dog who, as ever, got soaked and leapt back in the car to dirty the back seat. There was hardly a soul in sight that day, despite the lovely weather, and I had the beach to myself. Probably something to do with being opposite a power station and close to a sewage outfall. Aah, the good old English seaside.
Fortunately, the dog just about sat up for long enough to be captured in this snap, at about the seventh attempt. She kept laying down just before I took the picture - her idea of a game or something, the git. You can also find these canine frolics on the Pets page in the Playroom.
These are similar to the photos I took from the same location a couple of months before, except this time the lighting on the film came out properly, so you can see that it was a glorious day. You can just about make out Brighton and the cliffs in the distance (above).
Looking in the opposite direction, you can see Shoreham Harbour stretching out in the background (above), and if you look really hard you might see France. Well, that's what the dog said. I think she was lying.
