Following on from the previous set of photos, here you can see my sister's Renault 4 after some initial repainting in autumn 2001. Upon the whim of her five-year-old daughter, Skye (pictured below), whose favourite colour at the time was yellow, it was decided to redo the car in this colour, instead of its original rather tatty red. Unfortunately, after applying the first coat, there were then problems with the paint supplier, Cliffords in Brighton, and come the winter in early 2002 the car was still unfinished with a few bits of masking paper here and there. In these images, the car is still awaiting its final coat, although in typical toddler fashion Skye then changed her mind about her favourite colour, and so the R4 was now destined to emerge in any number of different shades.
