Reflexia enjoying the spring blossom, Hove, May 2005

Since purchasing Reflexia in August 2004, I've hardly had much chance to use her due to being away from home at work almost every week. In the nine months following, she's probably had less than fifty outings, most of which were short errands. Indeed, the very heavy travelling demands asked of me during 2005 have resulted in her being used probably less than a dozen times from the start of the year. Nonetheless, both now and throughout the whole of the previous winter, often in bitterly cold conditions, she's never failed to start after more than two or three seconds, usually almost instantly, even after being left idle for three or four weeks.

Sadly, the neglect extends to my doing little in the way of repairs or maintenance too, and so I may be in for some surprises or shocks when the MOT comes around in June. Her driver's side (not visible in these pictures) is starting to rot quite badly in places, particularly on the sills and around the ugly patch on the rear quarter window, where some filler was once applied rather hurriedly. The usual rust is also developing under the bonnet at the top of the front inner wing panels, where they join to the outer panels. I've never removed the wheel covers but I dread to think what they look like bare. Despite glamorous appearances on this page, the car is in a fairly tatty state on the exterior, and the inside could do with a clean too.

Reflexia reflects on her complementary white natural surroundings

I did promise when I bought the car that umpteen pictures of it would be added in due course, and until now that hasn't really happened, so these photos are an update just to confirm that she is still alive and well, and all too often sat admiring the questionable surroundings of suburban Hove. Maybe there's more action in store for her later in the summer.
