An old friend from my time in Manchester, Maria Cooke, wrote to me in September 2006. She says:

'I was reminded of you during a recent trip to the lovely French town of Angouleme, from which I notice you have a map entry. Anyway, there was an astounding number of 4s (and 2CVs, and 5s, and an eclectic assortment of other ancient vehicles, including one Traction Avant). I took the liberty of stalking a few and taking some photos.'
