The first R4 van to make it onto the site comes from Frank in Ireland, who writes:

'....some pics of betty my R4L Van (1986), she was being used as a chicken coup when I found her first. After restoring it to a driveable condition she gave me a full years motoring trouble free. (She needs a bit of work on the brakes, electrics and minor rust to pass an ntc test now). The engine was practically all replaced last year and runs perfectly, and it was fully panel beaten and sprayed. She would be perfect for a serious restorer. I'd like to see it go all together but I would be willing to sell it for parts....'
