This superbly restored car belongs to Daniel Roth in Switzerland. The photograph was taken by Organisation RAID Suisse-Paris, Basel, Switzerland, on the 24th August 1998 during the rally RAID Suisse-Paris in the area of Pont-à-Mousson, France. Daniel adds:

'I'm a big R4-enthusiast since children-days and send you a picture of my car for your gallery.... my car is a 1970 Renault R4 "Export", 845 cc, 27 hp, Type R1123. The car is carefully restored to its original condition and built up on a factory new platform frame which itself is galvanised. This R4 with only 95'000 km on the clock will be used only on special events at dry and sunny weather. I like this little car, which I own already since 15 years, and I will conserve it forever.'
