I've owned the car since January and she was originally the puke inducing colours of the Renault Elf squad, or even the Leeds Rugby/Football squad. The shocks were shot, the wheels were almost rusted through in places and she needed extensive welding to get her through the mot, yet a few weeks after I bought her we were touring Northern France covering over 3000 miles in two weeks, without a murmur from the kids! Shortly after our return the radiator blew and took the engine with it, luckily I had a spare waiting in the form of a £50 R5 mk1 1.4 engine which along with the R5 Gordini wheels I picked up for £15, several tins of gloss black and a few in steel helped to transform the car into the one you now see.'

'So far she's had new shocks all round, new brake discs, new front wings, Gordini wheels, R5 1.4 engine from a genuine 37000 mile donor vehicle, there's still plenty to do but as I have NO intention of ever getting rid of her I can take my time.'
