Barnaby Irving is back in July 2014 to scoop a second victory in the Star Car section, which you can find here. Meanwhile, here's some further images and info:

'Hello. Very busy here on Ibiza. Working much. I sent a photo well over a year ago [see here] when I purchased this renault 4 Super 1971 made by the Spanish Fasa company. Been busy ... looking for all the extras this car could have come with. The fan was not a extra nor the 1954 Mercedes Ponton clock ... the chrome wheel rings ... not original. Pretty cool though.'

I'd never seen such a Spanish Super edition before. In contrast to the French model, which was perhaps also sold in other markets, it doesn't have the hinged boot door or double bumpers. It's also the first time I've seen chrome wheel arches of this type on a Renault 4. The fan is cool (literally), but it might block the view of pedestrians (especially round ones)! Barnaby adds:

'The wheel arches are polished aluminium. It was a extra one could get. Maybe only in Spain. I found them on the web from a parts car. The fan cools me down in traffic and the heat of summer!'
