SC15

This Renault 4 'Sixties' special edition is the first to make it onto this website. Strangely, I only found out that this model existed a few days before this photo coincidentally arrived in my inbox. The message accompanying the mail states:

'I'm Nicolas and I live in Strasbourg, France. I have been driving that 4L Sixties for 9 years and with it came loads of adventures with friends. It has something special just like if with that car you took time to enjoy life, enjoy the road... I've nothing extraordinary to say except that I share that fascination for 4L so thanks for your complete and colorful website. Joined a picture of my 4L taken in Camargue, south of France.'

If there are any more 'Sixties' owners out there please send in your photos. The most obvious features of this mid 1980s GTL variant would appear to be the twin sunroofs (modern type rather than traditional roll back canopy), and the seat covers, along with the the special paint job, assuming these are all original. This model represents yet another piece in the quirky jigsaw of Renault 4s over the years, a car which is so obviously different and interesting compared to almost everything else on the road.
