Over in My Pics in the Gallery (#MP46), I unveiled the fourth heir to my Renault 4 throne, and this additional picture taken in September 2009 displays a more familiar visitor to my local surroundings: a plump, posh wood pigeon, not your ordinary sort who hangs around scavenging on street corners, but a more graceful cousin seen around the leafier suburbs. The bird bath sees a lot of action from winged creatures large and small. But, if neighbours think that the R4 is a step back in time, they'd do well to remember that all birds are effectively leftover dinosaurs, and watching the daily goings on outside in their kingdom is like viewing a tame Spielberg sequel, Jurassic Garden.
