40th anniversary - Arnhem 2001: photos part H: view from the east
more pictures from the event sent by Kubota Hiromichi from Japan
Just when you thought it was all over, one of the visitors to the event, Kubota Hiromichi (who you can find pictured in the restaurant for the Saturday night meal near the start of these entries) sent me a pack of goodies in the post from Japan. Included were these pictures from the Saturday tour and back at the campsite. Here's me and my brother setting off from the windmill.
A couple more cool pics from when we drove off the car ferry.
Next, it's me and my moist tent again. Basically, the story behind this is simply that my sister (pictured) and her navigator Will, along with my brother, all kept having hysterics at my expense, because this tent appeared to have no method of protecting against rain. It leaked through and left the inside rather damp. I protested that it was a superior design with a clever humidifying system but I couldn't stop them making constant jibes all weekend.
Finally, another picture from the restaurant during the celebration dinner, with my sister and Will on the left, my brother in the foreground and the back of my head on the right. Fortunately, I kept my face out of this one whilst I indulged in chips.
