40th anniversary - Arnhem 2001: photos part I: the last gasp?
pictures rediscovered in 2004 by my sister
Following the unhappy demise in late 2003 of my sister's second Renault 4 - the same car as seen in previous entries, and which made it all the way from England to Arnhem and back for this 40th anniversary event - I was rather unceremoniously handed a bunch of photos which my sister had never shown me. She no longer wished to have them as a reminder of that cursed car, which was involved in an incident on the motorway and smashed up by an idiot driver. So, this healthy selection of hers seemed sure to be the last images I would ever uncover from the event.
Another shot on board the car ferry.
It's back to the moist tent again, as I pack it away and try to forget about it, aware that my sister is taking a picture to ensure I will never forget about it.
This wonderful daisy car never got a very good showing in my own photo selection, so this image makes up for that slightly. It can also be seen clearly on the video from the event.
A trio of camper van pictures concludes these late additions to the anniversary gallery.
But.... surprise surprise, there was more....
