The Second 4L International followed on from the successful first event held a year earlier. You can find a full review of the 2009 gathering here in the Star Story section.

Details for this second meeting were much the same and most activities remained unchanged. However, new for 2010 was a planned excursion around the neighbourhood, something many asked for the last time around. Details and updates from the organisers are found on their official blog.

The 2010 event was planned for the weekend of 17-18 July at Thenay, near Blois in mid-west France, and once again was open to owners of all Renault 4s, with a special invitation also afforded to Renault 6 and Estafette owners. Here's the official publicity:

4L Magazine, with the participation of Renault Histoire & Collection, present the 2nd 4L International, the 17th and 18th July 2010, at Thenay, south of Blois (department 41, Loir-et-Cher). The biggest European 4L gathering, open to all Renault 4s and their derivatives (JP4, Rodeo, etc.).

There will be an exhibiting area, stalls, a parts exchange, an all-terrain course, special rallying sandpit, slalom event and prize podium. The 4L Magazine will host a Top 10 parade on the Sunday afternoon, and there will be music on the Saturday evening with drinks, sit-down eating area and a bonfire.

New for 2010 is a special Renault Collection area for other models (4CV, R8, R12, R17, etc.) plus a touristic rally. Renault 6 and Estafette models are also welcome.

The location was the 'Base de loisirs de Thenay' (sports and recreation park), near the D764 around 25km south of Blois, and 175km to the south-west of Paris. Below, you can find a map of the 2010 event site.
