Shortly after my parents spotted the last one in this section, they also found this rare orange model nested in the Sainsbury's car park down the road in Hove, England, around Xmas 2001. I trotted down myself to have a look as I was in the area at the time. Upon leaving one of my cards on the windscreen, the owners got in touch, making them the first to respond to an entry in the Mystery Cars section, albeit prematurely before the photos actually made it onto this site. Nonetheless, we have our first case officially 'solved'. The owners, Ben and Karine, sent the following info about their R4:

'...it was originally orange and was used by a local government dept in Avignon, France. It was common practise for post offices and council workers to use state run R4s and as such there are many in relatively good nick.'

You can also find an entry from Ben and Karine in the Guestbook (#110).
