I was contacted in January 2009 by a rather startled Jorge MartÃn from Spain:
'Just I have visited in your website I didn't do it for a long time... For my surprise I have read that you have been in Madrid!!!'
Jorge had been reading the pages devoted to my Renault 4 road trip across France and Spain, taken during the previous month, in which I travelled with my third R4, Reflexia, to Madrid and elsewhere. Had circumstances been different and my journey less spontaneous and haphazard, I could have arranged to meet up with Jorge whilst there. Something to bear in mind for the next time, I guess.
These photos are previously unpublished, and show Jorge's red GTL from some years ago when he was still living in Seville. I had been eager to capture my own R4 alongside one of the famous black bulls during my own trip, which prompted Jorge to send this set demonstrating that he not only managed the feat himself, but he even climbed one of the giant structures, as can be seen below.
