Louis Baudoin sent these brilliant snaps of his very special R4 camper van. You can find another of these oddities in the 40th anniversary Arnhem report (part 14), although this model wasn't manufactured by the same company, despite its similarities. An extra picture can also be found on the Star Car page (#SC11), for which this is a worthy winner. The owner writes:
'I saw this car on a camper site (internet) and mailed with the owner. He wanted to sell his car and come to Arnhem to the event. He came on saturday morning to the camping site to see the different R4's, so did I. When I saw the car and when I drove in it, I was excited. We went to my house in Arnhem and I bought the car. This car is a German production; there was a german firm (Karosserie & Fahrzeugbau GMBH. from Wanderath, Germany) who built in 1984 several of these cars. I didn't know there also were made special editions in 1979 in England. I only have the folder of this firm and do not know anything about these cars for example how many they made of these cars. I tried to find the firm but I think they don't exist anymore. I sent you another two fotographs from the inside; everything is now old and dated so I have to remake the interior. I hope you can understand what I write; I'm not so sure. I wish you good luck with your car, and with your site which I certain will visit several times and enjoy the mistary of the world's greatest car, the R4!'
