Perhaps getting slightly desperate here but who knows, maybe the Renault 4 that just sneaks into the picture on the left-hand side really does belong to the family seen beside it? The photo arrived from France with the name Gudule / Benoît attached as the sender, and it shows Peter Townsend (not the one of rock group The Who fame, but rather the famous World War II Spitfire pilot), pictured here in 1966 with his family in France. His wife certainly looks the type who would have suited one of the posters for the R4 Parisienne model which was in production around that time.
