R4 Meetings in Portugal & Spain 2002
part 2: Lousal, 25 May
by Fernando Palma, João Seabra, Asier Castellano Azkarate and Luis Martinez Artola, 9 October 2002
This second instalment covers the largest of the three meetings, held in Lousal, Portugal, at which eighteen Renault 4s attended and covered 400 miles. This included a trip around Alentejo villages and lunch in an old closed mine. You will note the many gleaming open air R4 models here, the origin of which I'm not sure about. They would appear to be near new, and not dissimilar to the original Plein Air models of the 1960s. One even sports a Renault Williams logo. If anybody can supply further information on these, please get in touch.
